British Literature 11A

This class is a survey course of British Literature, from the Anglo-Saxon period through modern drama and poetry. Core works include Beowulf, The Canterbury Tales, L'Morte D'Arthur, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Hamlet and Macbeth. In addition, studies will include epic and lyrical poetry, the advent of the short story and British theatrical contributions. Activities will include projects, creative writing, essays, tests and vocabulary. A focus on SAT preparation is inclusive in the course objectives.
